Stijn Lambregts, MSc. is department head of Quality Improvement at Zuyderland Medical Center. He is a member of various quality committees within the hospital and coordinator of the quality network mProve. He is also currently an MBA candidate at the Amsterdam Business School. In his daily work, Stijn focuses on facilitating healthcare professionals to be able to continuously improve. One of the aspects that has received explicit attention in recent years is the short-cycle use of quality data for this purpose. Data is explicitly used to identify improvements in the various care pathways and to take immediate action. During the COVID-19 crisis, this approach has proven its added value.
