About Remko
Prof.dr.ir. Remko Helms is professor of Information Systems at the science faculty of the Open University and a member of the faculty management team. He is also part-time affiliated with the CAROU institute, which is located at the Brightlands Smart Service Campus in Heerlen, and he is a member of the provincial Limburgs Digitaal Erfgoed Committee. In his research, he focuses on the development of the data analysis function of organisations, together with students and PhD students. The aim of his research is to support organisations in the structural use of data to support business operations and strategy. For example, they recently developed a quick scan to measure the data maturity of SMEs.
