How can the Arts help shape business and society, and how does culture and its associated values influence the leadership and management skills of leaders at global institutions?

Rachel Pownall is Professor of Arts and Finance at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics and the founder of UMIO’s Executive Masters Programme in Cultural Leadership run jointly with the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Her research builds on these ideas and highlights some of the inequalities and challenges currently faced in the industry. As we come out of the pandemic, Rachel argues that a cultural shift is needed in order to make sustainable and responsible decisions to serve the industry in order to meet the needs of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
