You, as a manager, play a crucial role in exhibiting leadership behavior, such as support, mentoring and coaching to facilitate problem-solving and to promote the development of the people in your organisation.

As a coaching leader you will learn to partner with employees in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential.

In this course you will develop the following competences:

• Establishing trust: the ability to create a safe and supportive environment that produces ongoing mutual respect and trust
• Coaching presence: the ability to be fully present and create spontaneous interactions with the employee in a way that is open, flexible and confident
• Active & generative listening: the ability to focus completely on what the employee is saying and is not saying (on a content level), to get the underlying emotions, and to communicate this actively
• Asking powerful questions: the ability to ask questions that challenge the employee to take responsibility for their own problems and generate new insights and awareness
