Smart automation identifies the key competences of the technologies and combines them for the benefits of organisations and humans. Prof. Dr. Dominik Mahr combines state-of-the-art research with practical experience. He is currently Professor in Digital Innovation and Marketing at Maastricht University, Department Chair of Marketing & Supply Chain Management at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, and Scientific Director of UMIO’s Service Science Factory. His work integrates research, education and business practice of marketing, innovation, digitisation, strategy, services and design thinking.

Gordon Miesen, MSc. works as Director Business Development & Client Relations at UMIO | Maastricht University. In this capacity, he is responsible for matching the learning needs from professionals and organisations across sectors and industries with the right academic insights and teaching pedagogy to design high-impact learning journeys. As a Business Economics graduate of Maastricht University, he has previously been working for Coca-Cola European Partners, C&A Nederland CV and Staff Planning Nederland before returning to his alma mater in 2017.
